I've raised £5500 to send Abbey to undertake life-changing humanitarian projects in Ecuador, building schools, water facilities as well as environmental projects

Hi! My name is Abbey and I am 13 years old. I am from North Hykeham, Lincoln. I am fundraising to go to Ecuador in South America for 4 weeks in 2020. I really want to take this opportunity as I want to help out the locals and give them all the support they can get. It would be such an amazing experience. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I really, really want to take part in it. Thank you for the support!
I will be travelling to Ecuador for a month to work on various projects with other students across several camps. Undertaking a wide variety of voluntary work which could include -
Education : Helping generations of children and babies by building a new school classroom or kindergarten
Community : Constructing vital facilities for the community such as community centres.
Healthcare & sanitation : Improving the health of a whole community through installing and developing local amenities
Food & water security : Installing new water facilities to provide fresh drinking water to local communities.
Environmental protection : Planting food trees for bears and getting involved with ways to minimise the huge wildlife poaching problems
The expeditions offer the unique chance to live and work as part of the community in three distinct regions of Ecuador: the highlands, the Amazonian rainforest and the coast.
I'll help local adults and children improve their quality of life in a sustainable way and support various environmental projects to safeguard the future of some pretty impressive wildlife including sea turtles.
