Story

NHCVS Community Transport Scheme based in Letchworth, Herts enable transportation for less able local people to allow them to attend healthcare appointments, social visits, day centres and leisure clubs.

Helping Hands based in Hitchin, Herts provide transport for elderly people and people with disabilities in the north herts area, taking them on essential shopping trips and social visits.

We are fundraising for both charities and will split funds raised equally between the two.

The challenge that David Parsons and Paul Ealham are undertaking will be a 840 mile cycle ride down the western side of the UK from Jon O'Groats to Lands End in June 2019.

It is anticipated to take 15 days (including one rest day) covering approximately 80 miles a day, to reach the finish line at Lands End.

The route (shown in the cover photo) will take in the Scottish Highlands. Great Glen, Loch Ness and Loch Linnhe, continuing towards Glasgow and the southern uplands. We will continue south towards the Eden Valley through the Yorkshire Dales before crossing into Cheshire then Shropshire and onto Somerset including Chedder Gorge, then through Dartmoor National Park in Devon and Bodmin Moor in Cornwall.
