we have had a lot of questions about the work that has to be done and the costs. First job is to dry dock the boat, this will be done when we have removed the boiler. With the work we know that will have to be done this will cost in the region of £3000. Following docking the boiler will need to be reinstated and tested. Following this the outside of the cabin and engine room needs to be repaintd and sign writen. The estimates we have for this are £9000 allowing for replacment of any timber that is needed. Please help us keep President going.

I have been involved with Friends of President for over 30 years. FoP supports the owners of President ( The Black Country Living Museum) by providing volunteers to maintain and run the boats. In the summer we attend waterway event all over the country promoting the museum.
