A few years ago, my partner and I were unfortunate to a have a stillborn child. Although the weeks around that time were a blur, the midwives and nurses in the labour ward were fantastic. My partner and I stayed in a little grieving room that the midwife said was entirely funded by themselves to try and make everything a little more bearable. These donations would help go towards helping the midwives fund this room and facilities, and to help other families in the same situation.

Having been sat down last year watching everyone's achievement of running the RB Hull Marathon, while stuffing my face with the contents of the fridge, I decided that i would run the marathon the following year to raise money for this cause. I signed up to races, joined a club (East Hull Harriers) and slowly built up my mileage.
