My family were victims of a number of serious crimes where police had withheld evidence from the CPS so that these cases involving 2 local men with criminal records never went to trial. Under the 1985 Prosecution of offenders Act there is a legal requirement for police to disclose all the evidence to the prosecutors the Crown Prosecution Service but Warwickshire police refuse to reopen cases and to hand the CPS missing evidence.
