Dear Friends,

It's not in my nature to trouble my friends for help lightly. However, a lifelong friend of mine is in dire straits:

Matt has lived most of his adult life in a small holding in Patagonia. Growing his own food, as much as possible.

As with so many places in the world, for the last few years, wildfires have swept through the forests of Patagonia. This year, despite all his efforts at great personal risk, his house and all his belongings were destroyed. As ill luck would have it, his car was at the mechanics at the time, so he literally left with a rucksack of belongings.

I know everyone is strapped for cash these days, and I've no wish to pressure you. I'll make no judgement on you, whether you donate or not, we will remain friends. However, if you could donate, I know Matt will appreciate any help you can give.
