Bolton Lions Club are a registered charity and Lions members are all volunteers. Every penny of financial donations raised by the club is used to support good causes. Any administration costs are covered by the members themselves and not from money donated.

For 40 years plus Bolton Lions Club has supported young people at Christmas through its Toy Appeal, with thousands of new toys being given to children who otherwise would have nothing at Christmas. Last year in 2025 we gave to over 1,900 young people, supplying in excess of £15,000 in vouchers to children of secondary school age and over 9,000 toys to the younger ones. Sadly the demand continues and we are this year in 2025 targeting £15,000 and are again appealing to both businesses and the public, who have supported us so well in the past, to yet again come to our aid to help give every child in Bolton a Happy Christmas. We hear so many stories of how the toy appeal makes such a difference on Christmas Day to children who otherwise would have no, or very few, presents to open. Just imagine going into school after the Christmas holiday and having to invent a story of what presents you’d received, because in reality, you’d received very little or nothing at all. All support no matter how large or small is so much appreciated and will ensure no child goes without again in 2025. We no times are challenging and this is an annual appeal but the need is greater than ever and any help you can give will be welcomed, appreciated and used properly.
