SPONSORED BIKE RIDE - CHASING THE SUN - SATURDAY 20TH JUNE 2026

Last year, with your help, I raised over £2,000 and I hope to do the same again this year. I will be cycling from Whitley Bay to Ayr, a distance of 200 miles. We'll start at the beachfront at Whitley Bay at the first ray of ocean sunrise (4.30 am) to the esplanade at Ayr to witness the (hopefully glorious) sunsetting into the sea beside the Isle of Arran.

It's a coast to coast cycle full of stunning vistas, wilderness, heaths, rivers, lochs, castles and beaches, which will make up for this tough challenge with includes 3,200 m of climbing in addition to the distance.

Our Raise the Roof Campaign is going extremely well and we have already raised over £200,000 towards our target but there is still some way to go.
