Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
A friend of mine has had a year from hell. I do appreciate that there are many people out there in a worse situation than him. The last 12 months have been filled with tragedies around the world but this does not mean that individual cases should be ignored either.
My friend, or David if you know him personally, lost his wife because of labour complications around 7 months ago. Baby Ryan was born 2 months premature and has been ill ever since. David has worked tirelessly trying to balance his job aswell as looking after the child who has spent a considerable amount of time in Great Ormand Street Hospital.
Over the last couple of months it has become tough on David. He has had to contribute to the funeral of his mother too 3 weeks ago. He is still paying medical bills towards the treatment of his only child too.
David has been my friend for over 20 years and never asked for anything from me. He helped me through my divorce 9 years ago and I am trying to give something back. I have helped financially but find myself no longer in a position to do much.
I have set up this page to ask for some help. I am asking because I haven't found a more deserving man than David ever. I don't think you are ever too old to ask for help, and I really hope this man can get what he needs to help him move on with his life.
Our target is £600 to help cover some medical and general expenses over the last couple of months. Each and every penny will mean so much and I really hope we can hit this target. I have seen the change in David as his life has crumbled. I just hope we can help and he can keep on fighting for the sake of his young son.
Thanks again from the bottom of our heart.
