I've raised £2000 to help with the Living with & beyond Cancer Charity which will fund The Garden Project at The Queens Centre at Castle Hill Hospital

As you all know, I have survived Cancer 5 times. On Thursday 23rd November, I will be celebrating my 40th Birthday. With it landing on a Thursday and my family being at work/school, I thought, how could I celebrate this landmark, whilst making it memorable in the process (life's about making memories). I'd like a challenge whilst also helping a cause that is close to my heart. Why not run 40miles on my 40th Birthday and help raise some money in the process for a local charity. Now, that's a challenge. I thought about my time in hospital last year, being bored and trying to find different ways to pass the time while receiving treatment, then it came to me. I wanted to help pass the time for patients who are living with and beyond cancer, during their hospital visits. When I heard about the garden project that had just been set up at the Queens Centre at Castle Hill Hospital. This felt like the perfect project to support. The all weather garden will help provide a place for patients and families to spend quality time together and for patients to access Art Therapy Sessions, Yoga, Gardening & much more.
