In the United Kingdom, 1 man every 2 hours commits suicide.

On 19th January 2026, we tragically lost my uncle, David Major, to his long standing mental health battle.

David was loved by everyone he knew. His, family, friends, colleagues and within the Huddersfield Town community, which became his happy place for the majority of his 43 year life.

Andys Man Club played a massive role in David’s life, supporting him through his own internal battles, for which we will all forever be grateful.

On Friday 12th June, myself and multiple friends of David will be walking to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, aiming to summit Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough to raise money for Andy’s Man Club to help them continue the incredible work they do for men’s mental health.
