Story
Having a premature baby brings many concerns and worries throughout their lives, high school was always going to be a massive challenge for Evan. Having learning difficulties, being deaf and speech impairments we knew it would be hard. When he came home and told us he had joined the choir and then wanted to do Performing Arts we were faced with a 'really, are you sure' sort of moment. You don't want your child to struggle and we felt this was potentially one of those situations. However he was adamant and we fully supported him. It has turned out to be the best thing he could have done. This part of school has had an amazing impact on him, he has performed on stage as part of a group and on his own, they have adapted performances to fully include him and most amazing for him he has had the opportunity to travel and perform in Belgium, Germany and France over the last three years. I want to thank them for everything they have done by raising some money so that they may be in a position to support other students, be it with equipment, outfits, shows or even overseas trips. We are unbelievably grateful for what they have done with Evan over the last three years.
