We are splitting our funds 50/50 between two very worth causes for this event. Firstly, The Lido which is our beloved venue in Winchester and is a charity which relies on donations to to stay open. Old buildings require lots of maintenance and repair and without an injection of funds, we could see this beautiful building fall into disrepair! SO, we will be give 50% of all funds raised to The Lido. The other 50% will be going to William Bennett, who is a friend to some of our Dawn Breakers and was the victim of a tragic accident in 2015 which has left him permanently paralysed. Like all of us now, Will was once a very active and sporty young man, so we can hardly begin to imagine what it is like to have your physical abilities taken from you, so with the funds raised, we will be helping him purchase an adapted van and all-terrain wheelchair so that he can regain his independence. A cause very close to our hearts.
