    Story

Day Surgery Short stay (3D) unit at Royal London Hospital sees over 4000 patients every year, most of which bring along a family member to wait for them while they have surgery.

Over the last 6 months we have made many improvements to our service based upon the feedback from our patients. We held a cake sale and raised £600, which we used to buy new TV's for our clinical areas these will provide essential patient update information. We have designed a new information leaflets to help our patients understand their journey and address any common questions they may have before coming in for surgery. We have also redesigned and decorated a room which will be dedicated to our families to wait for their relatives to finish surgery, some of which travel over 100 miles to our hospital.

We would like your help to raise funds to provide more comfortable furniture in the patient waiting area. This is important because some of our patients are in pain when they come for surgery and have given feedback that the chairs too hard and uncomfortable. Help us make our environment more patient friendly.
