Don Bosco Institute of Technology students desperately need your help.

This page has been created to help raise funds to cover the academic cost for a year of seven engineering students (different year groups) from Don Bosco Institute of Technology, India, whose families have been severely affected by the ongoing pandemic and hence are finding it extremely difficult to pay the fees for their child and are at risk of having to halt their studies. These families have been impacted by lockdown and have lost their jobs.

Hi, I'm Colin, an Alumni of Don Bosco Institute of Technology, in Mumbai. Being an alumnus of the institute, and a beneficiary of financial support during my studies, I feel the need to do something to help these students through this difficult period and remember the Vision and Mission statement I was once taught https://www.dbit.in/index.php/about-us/vision-and-mission in particular this objective:

For the times we have been helplessly stranded in an unfortunate situation, only to find someone unexpected come and comfort us - here I call upon the goodness of your heart to be that someone in this call for help.

The amount required in total for all the students to continue their studies whilst the families focus on rebuilding themselves from the affects to their livelihoods caused by the pandemic is £2500 (Indian Rupees Rs250,000).

It goes without saying that these are tough times for everyone, but if you can contribute even the smallest of amount, it would go a long way towards improving the lives of these young adults, who will hopefully go on to have long and successful careers and in turn someday help others in need.
