I am lucky enough to have grown up on Bude's beaches and have progressed through Bude Surf Life Saving Club from a young age. I was able to obtain a Beach Lifeguard qualification in 2015 and in 2016 I became a Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor for the club, as well as going on to work for the RNLI.

In November 2017 I will be travelling to Phuket, Thailand with the International Surf Life Saving Association. This humanitarian project aims to train members of Surin-Bangtao Surf Life Saving Club by carrying out training exercises and teaching them essential lifesaving skills that will enable them to tackle the drowning pandemic during the monsoon season.

I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to share the lifesaving skills that I have learnt from living and working on North Cornwall's beaches. I am funding this trip myself so would therefore be very grateful for any donations.
