Weʼve raised £475 to buy new books for our library. Reading is a vital part of education and at The Deanes we encourage all students to read as much as possible.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
At The Deanes, we believe that students' reading skills are important to their success in school as they will allow them to access the breadth of the curriculum and improve their communication and language skills. In addition, reading broadens students' imaginations and contributes to positive mental health.
Our students make such great use of the library that their favourite titles are beginning to look a little tired and we’d like to invest in new titles that the students are desperate to read
Unfortunately, in the current financial climate, with schools' funding being radically cut, we are forced to make difficult decisions about how the money we do have gets spent. Therefore so we are turning to the power of fundraising to see if we can get the books we need for our library.
We would like to be able to buy at least 150 new books . A new book costs around £7 if that helps guide your donation choices but we'd be delighted with whatever you're willing to give.
In the run up to Christmas, we are asking you buy our students the gift of a book so that they can benefit from the joy and learning that reading can provide.
