What is crowdfunding?

Story
Around 20,000 die each year due to cold weather so this Winter I am on a mission to help the homeless. From now forward at every opportunity I will be out busking and every penny I make I will be putting towards making 'winter survival kits' for each person sleeping rough. Each kit will include thermal clothing (socks, underwear, hat, scarf, gloves), first aid kit, LED torch, blanket/sleeping bag, food, toiletries (deodorants, mouth hygiene, feminine care etc...). Any help or donation would be massively appreciated and would make a great difference.
