Really sad to announce an angler passed away this evening on our lakes , he was an elderly gent fishing with his best mate of 20years+ , who is 90 years old , amazingly the 90year old performed cpr for approx 15 minutes until someone else arrived to take over , unfortunately nothing could be done & the poor gent passed away , our sincere condolences are with the family at this time , & thoughts with the best friend who did his absolute best.😢
it has made us think ....
we are setting up a fundraiser for a defibrillator and emergency phone system to keep at the lakes as you never know when anyone may need it , any donations no matter how small would be greatly appreciated by us & we're sure by anyone that uses the lakes .
Hopefully if this is successful , we may the look to fundraise for other lakes as to see what happened tonight & feel so helpless we wouldn't want anyone else to experience this if it could be helped or even prevented
