We're hoping to send our beautiful friend, Debbie, on a holiday to Tenerife to gather precious memories with her son Simon before she passes away.

Debbie was diagnosed with small bowel cancer in July 2015, after a lifetime of suffering with Chrons disease. She was rushed for surgery and in August 2015 had the tumour removed. Unfortunately, in the following months it progressed into incurable metastatic lymphodenopathy. In June 2016 she was told that she had between 6-12 months left to live. She was offered palliative care, chemo, etc. in the hopes of giving her a little bit longer.

This news was particularly devastating for her 18 year-old son, Simon, after losing his father only three years earlier due to complications from diabetes.

Debbie has remained in good spirits throughout this whole process; her tenacity and amazing attitude are undeniably the reason she is responding to the chemo as well as she is. When she was unable to continue working, she was forced to cash in her pensions. This means that she isn't entitled to any financial support with the holiday, so she has funded it herself. She has been quoted £800 for her travel insurance, and she is struggling to find this last bit of money. As her friends we couldn't be more proud of how she has dealt with this and will do everything we can to see her go on that holiday!

Anything you can do to help, whether it's one pound or ten is greatly appreciated. £800 isn't a massive amount to raise, but it would mean absolutely everything to Debbie and Simon.
