I am a very private person but some of you may know that cancer has impacted my life for the last couple of years. I have been lucky enough to remain fit and active throughout my fortnightly treatment schedule and am therefore undertaking the Southampton Marathon on May 5th this year for the sense of achievement if nothing else. As it is also my 40th year it seems fitting too. Throughout my illness Cheltenham Oncology Unit have been wonderful in looking after me and my family when needed too. I am also very pro active myself in seeking out alternative therapies to help with chemotherapy side effects and potential natural cures. Another group closer to home that has also been a great support is Dursley Running Club who are such a friendly inclusive bunch of people who have kept me going with there support and friendships. So i am looking to split any funds raised between these causes so that they can use it in the best way they see fit.
