Story

Zena Breakwell sadly passed away in October 2024 after a short battle with cancer.

She fought her battle with strength and dignity and with a smile on her face.

Sam, a dear family friend, in Zena’s memory, is going to run an Ultra marathon.

Sam has enjoyed running for years & has ran half marathon’s, but would have never considered running an Ultramarathon………..until now!

Sam’s friend told her about the SheUltra women's cancer charity fundraising event in April, 2025, not long after Zena had passed away and she knew that she had to do it for her.

SheUltra is very close to our hearts, they believe in supporting one another and that is why this is a fundraiser in aid of women with cancer, women who have loved ones with cancer and those who have lost loved ones to cancer.

It’s a 50km distance, starting in Abersoch and finishing in Pwllheli. So it’s a huge challenge that Sam is undertaking and will require months of training, dedication and discipline.

Sam would like to raise as much money as she can in Zena’s name, for Clee Hill Rugby Club, a club she loved and supported or over 30 years.

Clee Hill Rugby Club are currently fund raising for a new club house and any money raised would be greatly appreciated. Zena would be so proud and honoured to know that she took part in building the future for her much loved club.

Running an Ultramarathon is no small task, so please donate whatever you can spare to support Sam in Zena‘s name, to help raise lots of money to help Clee Hill Rugby Club build the Club for their future.
