Story

Brody was born on July 15th 2021, Donna and his big brother Declan couldn't wait to have this new bundle of joy in their lives. They realised very quickly that Brody was very poorly and it wasn't too long before he was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, a genetic disorder where the mitochondria, the 'battery packs' in your cells are running on low, damaging vital organs and life expectancy limited.
Donna and Declan did not let this stop them giving Brody the best life he could possibly have, making the most precious memories they could. They visited Old Trafford, farms, light sensory therapy and looking at trees on his many walks were to name but a few. He also loved coming to watch Affinity Choir, where Donna was a member of previously, he loved listening to music. Donna is an amazing Mum and Declan is the most caring and beautiful brother, they did everything for Brody.
On the 16th of February 2023 Brody fell asleep in his brothers arms, he was 19 months old. Brody leaves a massive void in Donna and Declan's life, things will not be the same again for a long time.
One of Donna's favourite memories is when Brody went to a specialised farm and managed to go on the back of a horse, it was so lovely to see him doing something 'normal' and made Donna so happy, a moment she will treasure forever.
As her last wish to a son from his mother Donna wants Brody to be in a carriage with beautiful horses to take him to his final resting place. As a friend to Donna I am trying to raise the funds for this to happen even a £1 would mean so much.
Many thanks
