Story
We are going to provide scrubs, gowns, hats and other requested items to our NHS and Care staff in the borough, firstly because they cannot source them themselves and secondly to show them how much we appreciate them at this time. The scrubs are needed in large numbers to stop cross infection and come with a laundry bag to stop infection going home or into the community. For reference a set of scrubs costs about £7 a set. We're using repurposed fabric where possible for the laundry bags to save costs. Please help if you can. Volunteer machinists are also needed.

4 years agoWith the 3rd payment from this justgiving page I was able to buy 2 rolls of material today to finish the gowns needed by the Marie Curie nurses going into Covid Positive houses so they protect themselves and others. I dropped off 20 visors with them today donated by local lady Kay Haynes. I have 30 more to deliver though I'll have to check who donated them to give correct acknowledgement. Working together we are able to supply almost everything needed to those on the front line, hopefully keeping them and others safe from this awful virus.

4 years agoScrubs are currently being made for all the Hyde Gps as well as Polebank care home. When these are done we'll start on Droylsden to finish off their request and then Denton Medical practice. If anyone wants to request scrubs please get in touch with size and where you work. If there are any more machinists out there with an overlocker please get in touch. We really need your help. The quicker we can get out these scrubs an other items the better.
