On Saturday 13th April Kendra beloved mother of James and Lexi lost her life giving birth at the Samaritan Hospital Palu Indonesia. Kendra (Fatmawati Tanio is her Indonesian name) is survived by pre term baby Zoe Kendra Mead who was born at 34 weeks gestation and is being cared for in a special care baby unit. Kendra and Phelan already have two children James aged 9 and Lexi aged 6 who are currently in Ampana with Kendra's mother and sisters. Kendra was my beloved daughter in law and friend. Ampana is a small coastal village ten hours travel from Palu where Kendra was in hospital. We need help to pay the hospital bills for Kendra's care at the hospital and bills for the care for baby Zoe in the special care baby unit. There is no NHS in Indonesia and the medical cost are approximately £3500 converted into Indonesian rupiahs 72,210,817 Indonesian Rupiahs according to my currency converter. We are all grieving and are finding it really hard to meet the hospital costs burial and and travel costs to help these children and the family in Ampana.
