I've raised £1000 to help Debbie Pearson fight Breast Cancer with ‘The Pink Weekend’

My cousin, Beverley Nicholas was the inspiration and organiser of the Batley Bulldogs fundraising mission to help Breast Cancer charities. Through her tireless efforts she has raised over £100,000 after starting her fundraising initiative named ‘The Pink Weekend’, which involved afternoon teas, Valentines Balls, family fun days, Rugby team player calenders and many other events and opportunities she could think of.
The Pink Weekend supports three Breast Cancer charities, of which all money raised is divided!
Very sadly, my cousin passed away due to secondary spread breast cancer in May 2019. My aim is to help continue her efforts to fight this dreadful disease which has affected another very close member of my family and friends too.
I therefore pledge to run 100k throughout March in the hope of raising as much money as possible for The Pink Weekend.
It is fair to say here that I am not a consistent runner (unless I‘m being chased of course). I did however, start the Couch to 5K again in October last year and now manage to run once or twice a week, making this daily run a challenge.
For anyone who has lost someone to Breast cancer or anyone who has suffered with this terrible disease, any donation would be gratefully received. Thank You.
