Weʼve raised £12,521 to Support local families in Rossett, Wrexham, North Wales, whose homes have been absolutely devastated by the recent flooding.

Story
The recent unprecedented flooding in the area of Rossett, Wrexham, North Wales, has absolutely devastated the homes of several local families.
People have had to be airlifted from their homes and they, and their children, have been left with nothing. All of their lives are floating around in muddy water and their future has been decimated in one single cruel night. They are absolutely heartbroken and are in desperate need of our help, and they need it now!
This is the time we need to pull together and show them what community support can achieve. If each of us give even just a little, it can add up to a lot. This will allow these poor families to try and put their lives back together.
A small group of local people and some members of Rossett Community Council, will oversee the fair distribution of any money raised. So please please give what you can. It will make a huge difference to their lives. Lets show them that we care.

3 years agoFinal update!! Thank you to all the lovely people and businesses who supported me to do this! The final amount has now been divided between the 12 families (minus the commission / admin charges taken by JustGiving). So far each family has received £1000 into their bank accounts. I am still waiting for the very last donation to hit my account and this will also then be divided between the 12 families. I know that they are all really grateful of the help, which they certainly need. Thanks so much to everyone who helped to make this happen. :-)

3 years agoHuge thanks to the team at Rossett Pharmacy, who collecting a whopping £72.21 in their collection tin on the counter. Thanks to everyone who put money in there. It has now been added to the final total.
