Story
I volunteer for German Shepherd Dog Rescue North East.
We rescue and rehome hundreds of German Shepherds and German Shepherd crosses every year.
Recently, we have had several large vets bill for dogs under our care who have required life saving surgery or other urgent treatment (The dog featured as my header picture has a ball lodged in his throat which went unfound for several days and the vets say its amazingvthat he is alive!)
As such, funds are low and more and more dogs are in need of our help, be it saved from the pound having served their 7 days, or emergency boarding for dogs that owners would otherwise put to sleep unnecessarily.
I intend to raise money for this good cause by way of sponsorship... I am going to have my hair chopped!
I have always had long hair. I am going to have my hair chopped short. I will also be sending my hair to the Princess Trust to be made into wigs for you g cancer patients who have lost their hair through treatment.
Please support this cause. It costs the rescue £10+ a night to keep one dog safe in kennels and we regularly have upwards of 15 in our care to pay for while they are waiting to be adopted.
There are a dedicated group of wonderful volunteers who feed, exercise and train these dogs, many of whom are traumatised and need to be rehabilitated, who would be so thankful for your kind donation.
