    FUNDING UPDATE

    I am delighted to report that as of 1st July 2017 £1,380.50 has been raised offline, which added to the £420.00 generously donated via this site means that the total now stands at £1,800.50. So we are within £700.00 of reaching the target. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

    CEDARS HOME FOR ABUSED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN

    The Cedars Home aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for abused women and their children and some of the objectives are:
    To provide temporary shelter to women and their children who are in abusive relationships; To provide counseling and support for women and their children; To provide services that will strengthen and empower women and their children through education and enrichment opportunities; To facilitate awareness programs aimed at eradicating domestic violence.

    The Home will encourage women to be independent and self-reliant through the following program and activities:

    Personal development and inter-personal relationship
    Counselling, Conflict Resolution & Coping Skills
    Reproductive & Adolescent Health Issues
    Pregnancy, Child Care, Parenting and General Health Issues
    Moral support with addressing legal and logistical matters while in
    the Home
    Assistance with organizing for physical and emotional needs to be
    met upon discharge from the Home

    To allow the home to cater for daily living and operational issues, I shall endeavour to purchase all or part of the kitchen equipment and other items that is needed for Cedars Home, i.e.:

    * Microwave Oven
    * Electric Kettle
    * Cake Mixer
    * Electric Blender
    * Cutlery
    * Baking Tins
    * Pastry Cutters
    * Rolling Pins
    * Pampers

    This appeal remains open until 31st August 2017.
