Story

Next month (2nd October) I'll be running the Great Scottish Half Marathon. I've decided to use this as an opportunity to raise fund for local respite charity PHEW based in Motherwell. I was recently at a fund raiser at PHEW and was amazed at the hardwork of the staff and the care shown to their guests.

About the charity:

PHEW (Scotland) is a small registered charity based in the centre of Motherwell. PHEW has been providing a residential short breaks respite service to adults with learning disabilities for over 30 years.

PHEW works in partnership with guests, families/carers to deliver good quality, accessible and flexible short breaks/respite service to meet the care and support needs of the individual guest. At PHEW, it’s all about making the guest’s short break as special and memorable as possible by responding to individual choice, offering community facing opportunities to make their short break extra special.

Donations would help improve facilities and the Phew experience for its guests and staff.

Thanks
Declan
