My name is Dee-Anne , I'm a working parent with all the love in the world for my kids and a want for them to learn new life skills like team work , cooking from scratch , camping , basic survival skills and how to have fun without modern technology. I know I'm not the only parent fed up of kids spending their time online ,gaming ,phones well all things technology . I plan to build a holiday camp for kids age 8 to 16 where in I'd be providing affordable 24hr care during school holidays. This will help parents who have to pay for child care during the holidays or even parents that just need time for themselves . Everyone deserves me time and quality family time . The avrage 2 parent family has 8 weeks holiday per year (between them ) single parents just 4 the kids have 13 !! When does that leave time for good quality family time if your only having time off to cover the holidays ? At this camp the kids will learn everything from pitching a 1 man bivvy to building their own cooker using the materials nature provides . I believe compatition and team work are vital to our children's characters and giving them the drive to succeed in life . We will have lots of team building tasks , races on our assult course as individuals and as teams . The kids will learn to grow and farm their own food then how to prepare a basic meal . They will be set tasks to use a map to find the stuff they need teaching them we can get places without a satnav . In the evenings we will have camp fires ,songs ,stories and lots of laughs . I really want to provide this opportunity for kids and support for parents I just need help to get started .
