This is a fundraiser for a vital life saving machine called a defibrillator, which will be installed outside of a residential home next to Holme railway crossing & will be available to the public 24hrs 7 days a week. A defibrillator could help restart a patients heart in a Cardiac Arrest & would give them a better chance of survival. Approximately 80% of out of hospital Cardiac Arrests occur at home; 20% will occur in a public place. If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed in 3-4 minutes of a Cardiac Arrest, their chance of survival increases from 6% to 75%
