These causes engage in initiatives which for various reasons, are close to my heart and it is my desire that through this fundraising effort and your kind generosity, I am able to make an impact towards helping them to fulfil their respective missions
I aim to raise a minimum of £300 and I need your kind support to meet my target. For information on the respective causes that your donations will go to, please read on.
Christmas Comes Early for the Poor (Delivering 100 Christmas Hampers to Families)
According to the Department of Work and Pensions, about 1 in 5 people face poverty in the UK.

This Christmas, more than ever, life will be like no other, and many families will be facing the squeeze of the cost of living crisis as a result of inflation and rising energy prices amongst others. To bring some hope ahead of the Christmas season, we are taking the initiative to raise money to feed 100 (one hundred) families this Christmas by distributing hampers within the London Borough of Greenwich. Through this gesture, we hope to be able to make a difference in the lives of families within the local community so that the reality of the impending economic crisis does not hamper their chance to enjoy the festive season. We are working with CLF Greenwich, who plan to deliver hampers to families this Christmas.
Bringing Cheer and Goodwill to the Sick (Christmas Hampers for Patients in the Derek Mitchell Unit at Kings College Hospital, London)
The Derek Mitchell Unit (DMU) is a Haematology Ward at King’s College Hospital. It is staffed by an amazing team who look after patients when it is most needed. Being ill and admitted in a hospital is never a pleasant experience, and is even less so on special occasions such as the Christmas season. During these times, the kindness and thoughtfulness of others goes a long way in bringing cheer and goodwill to the Ward’s patients. For this reason, we wish to give the patients hampers this coming Christmas season, filled with goodies that will spread the love and cheer needed to lift their spirits, reminding them that they are remembered and wished all the best in their journey towards health and full recovery. Empowering the Marginalised (The Tamu Love Project)
The Tamu Love Project is a charity whose aim is to empower the Maasai women of Kenya by training them in new skills including soap making and the development of existing skills to create businesses within their own community in order to escape poverty and marginalisation. Our fundraising effort is geared towards supporting the provision of urgent medical treatment for a couple of women within this Maasai community. ‘Emily’ currently struggles with her eyesight, and ‘Big Agnes’ has recently found a lump in her breast. Both women require urgent medical assistance for the diagnoses of their condition, but their remote location and limited finances pose a significant threat to their ability to access adequate medical care. We would like to raise funds to assist ‘Emily’ and ‘Big Agnes’, in the hope that they can swiftly regain their health and, along with the other women of this strong tribe, continue to be empowered to provide and build a sustainable future for themselves and their children. Providing Shelter for the Orphaned and Abandoned (Yahweh Children Ministries)
Yahweh Children Ministries is a charity that provides food, clothing, medical treatment and learning opportunities to orphaned, abandoned and often vulnerable children in Uganda. Volunteers for the charity also visit families in remote Ugandan villages to distribute food supplies, clothing and other necessities. We are raising funds to support the charity in its current efforts to raise money to build a home for these orphaned and abandoned children and to provide clean drinking water in the rural community in which these children are being looked after. With our efforts, and through your kind and generous donations, we hope to ensure that one more child has a safe place to lay their head at night and clean water to live a healthy life. Educating Future Generations Through School Building Projects (CLM Trust)
Ropolo is a village in Port Loko, Sierra Leone. It was one of the villages adversely affected by the Ebola virus outbreak. CLM Trust has been working in the village since 2017 as the community lacks a school to educate the children as well as basic amenities, such as clean water supply, electricity and a health clinic to thrive. Around 53 children are currently being schooled in a temporary church building that is not fit for purpose. Funds raised will support the building of a permanent school to accommodate the children and the provision of resources for the children to learn in a conducive and stable environment, e.g., tables, chairs, books, uniforms and stationeries.
