    Story

Isobel Says: "I am currently studying for my GCSE exams and have found that running gives me the escape that I need from revision! I thought I would put this to further good use and have entered the GEAR 10K for which I am look for sponsorship.

I am lucky enough to be given the amazing opportunity to visit Tanzania July 2019. This is a four week trip where we will be involved with local charitable work such as building a school, irrigation systems and replanting sites of deforestation. There are organised treks where we will experience this amazing country and meet local people, learning about their daily lives and cultures.

Mum has reluctantly agreed to run with me, although not too sure what she'll manage after her pneumonia earlier this year!

I would be very grateful for any sponsorship for this once in a lifetime trip. Thank you, Isi XX

Today (6th May) my mum and I ran our GEAR, in highs of 20 degrees. Despite the shows of British Summertime, we both finished the race in just over an hour, a performance way above our original goal of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The atmosphere and support around the course was fantastic which helped us keep running, one step at a time. I thank you all for your generous support and despite near puking and peeing during the race your donations has helped me get one step closer to an experience of a lifetime. Much Love, Isi xxx

My Eldest daughter Isobel, is looking to raise funds towards her trip to Tanzania July 2019. The trip is organised by 'World Challenge', giving young people the opportunity to visit another part of the world, and to take part in a variety of charitable work.
