I’m desperately looking for help raising money to help get my rescue cat, Jack, get much needed surgery and treatment on his teeth.

Jack came to me in May, all the way from Romania and has had a rough life up until now.

He was found hit by a car whilst straying on the streets of Romania and sadly lost one of his eyes. He luckily got the treatment he needed and was with a foster lady for a while until he eventually was brought over to me. Jack is an absolutely amazing cat who loves a cuddle and has the sweetest personality I’ve ever known in a cat.

Unfortunately, Jack also has problems with his teeth which wasn’t picked up on before he came over to me and is now causing him pain. His vet has told me that he has severe tooth decay at the back of his mouth with at least one tooth needing to be removed but potentially more, as well as a front one which has a hole in. He unfortunately is needing an x-ray so that the vets can determine how deep his tooth/teeth have rotted down. As well as this, his remaining teeth are going to need a full dental clean under anaesthesia. Because of the decay in his mouth, Jack has already had to have a course of antibiotics due to infection as he stopped eating due to the pain - he is still unable to eat any dry food as I believe having to crunch anything hurts him.

For his treatment and surgery, our vet has quoted me for over £600, which Jack’s insurance won’t cover, which is why I am asking for any help that anyone can offer, even just £1 will help.

I’ve only had Jack for a month and a half but he makes me smile everyday and despite the trauma he’s experienced over the last 6 years, he is the friendliest and most loving cat who deserves the best life possible without any pain, which is why this dental treatment is so crucial.
