Story

We are the "Denton Dream Boys" and throughout 2024 our village has been putting on local events to raise money for the Addenbrookes and Papworth Hospitals in Cambridge. We've also put together a calendar of some of the local men in the village which has been featured on a number of shows including BBC Breakfast. After a comment on BBC Radio 5 Live which said; "how much do I have to donate to not receive a calendar" we decided to set up a place for people to do just that!

Paul Wilby was inspired to start fundraising after his son Ben was diagnosed with a life-threatening and life-limiting condition known as CTEPH. Thanks to a surgery that can only be performed at Papworth Hospital in the UK his condition has significantly improved. But this story is just one of many stories that have flooded in months about the amazing work from both hospitals. We want to raise money so both hospitals can continue their pioneering work.

The story of our fundraising so far can be seen here: https://act4addenbrookes.org.uk/an-entire-village-in-norfolk-fundraising-for-addenbrookes-described-as-one-of-a-kind

As JustGiving does not allow a split between two charities we have set the page up this way - 100% of the donations will be split evenly between the two hospital trusts.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
