Since a young child, I always knew about the power of giving back, helping someone else, is magical. I can even recall as a child, the oldest of 6 kids my mother would often need a bit of extra help to get us all (everything) we needed for school. Especially when each new year, the supply list gets longer and more expensive. If it had not been for some organizations that came in our neighborhoods to help families like mine, we probably wouldn’t have been as successful and focused in class. Which is why five years ago I started assisting all my home girls and friends with buying their kids school supplies, as a way to help them out, who deal with sooo much daily raising their children. With witnessing how grateful and happy it made them and their kids excited, made me want to do more by way of helping my entire community in Memphis, TN were Im born and raised. This year makes Year 5 for me, and Im so happy and thankful to God for allowing me to get this done by myself these past few years. But this year, I desire for a bigger turn out than previous years, im reaching out to others as it takes a village to raise a child.
