I believe strongly that all should have the opportunity to experience
quality cultural activity and it should not be for the privileged few. All should have the option to take advantage of this activity regardless of their economic background. Can you imagine only an exclusive few people having access to culture and enjoying its rewards?

Cultural experiences are for all regardless of their status. I am fundraising to help unlock the potential of Derby Theatre participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to discover, develop new skills, connections and confidence to fulfil their ambitions.

I am part of a team of courageous adventurers undertaking the 2017 Peak District Challenge, to raise funding for Derby Theatre to make cultural experiences accessible to all. I will be taking on a challenging 25km in 9 hours, following a circular route from Hathersage to Baslow and back via Curbar and Frogatt Edges.

Derby Theatre is gaining a national reputation for its programme of work with individuals and local communities. As an arts charity, they consider that everyone on Derby should have the opportunity to get involved in the arts. Derby Theatre is a stronger organisation for involving and listening to the widest range of local people. I admire the work they do, the people who see and create work with them and I believe this should be supported.
