Weʼve raised £850 to help fund a new flag in memory of club founder Derik Brooks
- Funded on Sunday, 24th February 2019
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
*UPDATE - Thanks to all your fantastic donations we have already reached our target for the first flag! We have been able to increase the flag size to 14ft x 9ft and this will be fixed in the Mackoy End of the stadium, which will look great! We are continuing to accept donations which will contribute to a replica flag situated in the North End. Our heartfelt thanks for all your kindness and continued support.*
The Spitfires Supporters Club are looking to raise funds to purchase a new flag in memory of Eastleigh FC's (originally Swaythling Athletic) club founder Derik Brooks who sadly passed away in 2018.
The current commemorative flag on display at The Silverlake Stadium has become worn over time and we feel it is time to purchase a new one.
The new flag will be of a larger size at 12ft x 6ft and will feature the words "Forever Thankful, One Derik Brooks along with the addition of his face (in the image above) and dates.
We are kindly asking anyone who would like to contribute to this flag in memory of such an influential Gentleman to please assist us in its purchase by donating to this wonderful cause.
The flag will be hand stitched of the highest quality from leading manufacturers 'Barmy Flags' and will be proudly displayed at Eastleigh FC for all to see.
Should we exceed our set out target of £350, we may be in a position to purchase a second flag - even more reason to donate!
Let's do it for Derik.
Thank you for your consideration.
