As you may know my number one passion in life is the beautiful game of football! This is a heartfelt plea to ask you to join me in making a positive impact on the lives of children in Clarens, South Africa, and also underprivileged children in our local community here in Sussex. I have embarked on a mission to raise funds for two great causes close to my heart.

The Challenge: Adventuring 3 Peaks Challenge

In June I turn 50 years old and I wanted to mark this milestone by raising money for those less fortunate!

I will be taking on the Adventuring 3 Peaks Challenge, a fast-paced, physically demanding, and mentally tough journey. The challenge involves conquering the three highest mountain peaks in the UK - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. This is not just a climb; it's a test of endurance, covering 24 miles and climbing a total of 3060 meters over the biggest mountains in the UK - all to be completed in UNDER 24 HOURS!

Cause 1: The Cabin - Clarens, South Africa.

The Cabin is a day care centre in Clarens, South Africa and was set up by a friend of mine. The only day care available in the area for 6months to 5 years was very overcrowded and only provided basic care- NO EDUCATION. Knowing this was not good enough and with the mission to change this for babies and toddlers she set up The Cabin 5 years ago- the children are thriving and getting their early years education ready to start school. The children at The Cabin, and also school aged children in the area LOVE playing football, but they lack the necessary clothing and equipment to fully enjoy the sport. As you can see from the photo this was a on field tournament - no nets, no kits and half of them not wearing shoes let alone football footwear!. Our goal is to raise funds to provide footballs, kits, boots goals with nets etc and equip these young football enthusiasts with the gear they need.

Cause 2: Learn Play Achieve Soccer Academy Sussex Scholarship & International Tour Fund

Scholarships for Local Talent:

In our community, there are incredibly talented children with a passion for football. Unfortunately, financial barriers prevent some of these budding athletes from joining our academy. We want to expand our current scholarship program to ensure that no talented player is left behind due to economic constraints. Your support will directly contribute to providing scholarships that unlock the potential of these young players.

Overseas Football Tours:

We believe in providing our super-talented players with opportunities beyond local boundaries. However, the cost of overseas football tours can be a significant barrier. We want to raise funds to offer these experiences to deserving players, giving them exposure, a chance to showcase their skills internationally, and broadening their horizons.
