Story
After my Dad went quickly downhill, my Mum had to call for an ambulance. One of the Southwell Community First Responders was at their house in minutes. He not only assessed my Dad, ensuring his transfer to hospital would be swift, he supported and reassured my Mum.
The First Responer on the night was Malcolm, a hero in our eyes. They do this essential job completely voluntarily and rely solely on donations. We would like to raise £500 to support their vital work.
This is not the first time Dad has been seen by a first responder. After his heart attack in 2014 (which he was still denying ever happened last week!), the first responder was here in 3 minutes and Dad was able to have nearly 5 more happy years due to her quick actions.
