Des "twinkle toes" Coghlan-Forbes has been lucky enough to be offered a place at the prestigious National Youth Music Theatre, in their 2019 touring production of "Growl". He's playing Shorty - one of the Three Little Pigs (he was nominated for a Somerset Fellowship of Drama award as a Cow in Into The Woods, and won an award as Bullfrog in Honk...we see a pattern forming here!!).

He auditioned against young performers from all over England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland so it's a massive achievement to be cast in their production.

But this doesn't come cheap! Participation is all self funded, and he needs fees for the residential rehearsals, and to cover costs to go to and from performance venues all over the country.

NYMT do also offer some bursaries, but they need donations to their fund, and if this page is able to raise enough he would like to make a donation to the NYMT fund as well.

Des is very fortunate to have a wonderful group of friends many of whom have shared the stage with him in the numerous amateur productions in the Bristol and North Somerset area.
