I've raised £1000 to train African females in the latest technologies and connect them to jobs.

Developers In Vogue aims to improve gender equality in technology in Africa with innovative coding boot camps for ambitious women.
We are seeking kind donations, volunteers and mentors to organize our second coding boot camp. See http://www.developersinvogue.org for more details.

The Problem:
Inadequate number of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) roles is an alarming problem for any country that aims at accelerating Science and Technology advancement in order to achieve the sustainable development goals. In a typical Engineering class at Kwame Nkrumah University in Ghana, females represent less than 10% of class size. However, females make up more than 50% of the population of most African countries and have a great opportunity to play a vital role in the development of products. To do more, we need more innovative hands on board!
Our Solution:
In the next 5 years, we aim at training 5,000 females in the latest technologies and connecting them to jobs. We recently completed our pilot where we trained 20 females in web development. 10 of them have got jobs since then and 6 of them have built a waste management app that has won a hackathon in Ghana.
With £1,000 we will be able to train and support 20 ladies. See more about our team here: https:www.developersinvogue.org
Our Vision:
Our vision is to shape a world where more African ladies will be daring enough to lead in STEM.
