Story
In July 2018, a group of teachers from Devonshire House is going to Rwanda for two weeks to help the projects of Rwanda Aid charity. It is a small, innovative and impactful charity which the school has worked with for many years. It brings hope and opportunity to the local communities in the remote South West region of the country.
Rwanda Aid
Rwanda Aid is celebrating 10 years as a charity this year. It has already built 38+ classrooms and toilet blocks, offered extensive teacher training, sponsored over 50 children through secondary school. It runs a street children project and provides help in a disabled children’s village. The charity also oversees enterprise projects and farming initiatives. Teachers, parents and pupils from Devonshire House have visited in the past and have provided particular support to Isha School as well as running teacher training and resources to a wide range of other projects.

Once in Kamembe, we will run sessions on teaching & learning, help to create resources and complete a painting project for the disabled village at Ngwino Nawe.
We are calling for your generosity. Your donations will go to fund the trip summer, the resources we take with us and the help we provide for the ongoing projects there.
To raise money, we are taking part in a crazy sporting event:
Tough Mudder Full
30 staff from Devonshire House, 3 teams, 10 miles, 20 obstacles. There are also numerous pupils and parents coming to take part and to cheer us on
This is such a challenge for all taking part and will certainly take us out of our comfort zone. We have promised the pupils that we will show them the photos and the bruises if we reach our target!
