Kingswood Rugby Club have kindly arranged the first Dexter Liebow memorial match, this will take place on Saturday 4th August and involve a Kingswood elect XV taking on an Ex-Junior XV. This will game will be played in memory of Dexter Liebow who sadly lost his 16month battle against a rare childhood cancer.

Kingswood Rugby Club will also have plenty of events on the day including amazing volunteers who have agreed to shave their heads and beards with support from the Body Art in Kingswoods Barber.

Dexter was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in late October 2016 after a short period of severe tummy pain. over the course of his 16month treatment dexter had many ups and downs, the ups including His make a wish(being a magician for the day), Living in London for a month (Whilst on treatment), receiving art from all over the world and many breaks away and days out when possible. The downs including 2 stays in intensive care, septicaemia, pneumonia, a collapsed lung and losing his sight to name a few. Dexter sadly lost his battle on the 17th February peacefully with his mum and dad by his side.

This day is looking to raise money for Dexters charity (Dexters odyssey - Registered Charity Number 1178623) to help relieve financial strain through providing gift vouchers for use in businesses local to the hospital and help in creating family memories by providing days out in the local area.
