I've raised £400 to help fund Emerge Stafford, a voluntary counselling service to support survivors of sexual abuse. www.emergestafford.co.uk

Emerge Stafford is a voluntary counselling service based at St. George's Hospital in Stafford. Emerge (Victim to Survivor) offers free, confidential advice and support to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Their aim is to help survivors on their road to recovery and healing. Many adults who have been sexually abused as children, struggle to overcome past events, suffer in silence whilst plagued with guilt and the fear that no one will believe them. They would start to blame themselves, be afraid to tell loved ones and it will have a dramatic effect on their lives forever.
Having contacted Emerge Stafford I was told there is currently over a 6 week waiting list for counselling. Volunteers can offer telephone support, face to face and group meetings for survivors of sexual abuse plus offer support to those caring for someone who has been abused.
In the past Emerge has helped me with the services and I would like to offer something in return.
On Sat 1st July 2017 along with my Personal Training clients and fellow PT Koia based at Pure Gym Stafford. We are taken part in the JCB Mud Run 17.
The run takes place in the beautiful JCB Estate in the heart of the Staffordshire Countryside has become a natural host to the JCB Mud Run. The terrain which includes woods, rivers, inclines, peat, grass – and of course the obligatory mud – lends itself perfectly to our challenging 5 mile course.
Where we will slide in to muddy hole; scale over a big wall; climb over cargo nets and through underground pipes; clamber over big hay stacks and through spiders web. And of course tackle the monkey bars and the infamous bog of doom!
I am also taking part in the Stafford 10k on Sunday 24th September 2017 to which I will continue to raise money for Emerge Stafford. Please help me raise money for this amazing voluntary service and help the victims of childhood sexual abuse live their life as peaceful as possible.
Thank you for your kind donations
