Story

Durham City Gymnastics club was established in October 2016 and since then we have managed to create a wonderful community club and have over 500 club and recreational members spanning the North East. So far we have manged to raise money for the basic equipment required to open the centre but now the children are in need of more specialist equipment to help them progress in local, national and world competitions.

Securing funding in Tumbling is very challenging. Local businesses and parents are extremely generous and do what they can to support our children. But with increasing costs for training facilities, there is very little funding left to purchase other essential items such as a foam pit, that is imperative for our tumblers to safely build confidence and skills and trying out new techniques. Your donation will support 100’s of children across the club, helping them to fulfil their dreams of competing in world class competitions. Younger age groups will also benefit for many years to come as they progress through our club.

In July the children will be taking part in a tumblathon where each tumbler will complete 1 mile of tumbles, flics whips and tucks down the track. This equates to 40 times down a 25ft track. Among many other activities. All to help raise money for the club they love.

Help support the dreams of our children so they can become the Tumbling stars of tomorrow and be a part of their story. Thank you for listening and if you can donate something, no matter how small, it will make a difference. Thank you on behalf of Durham City Gymnastics Club.
