We are launching this fundraising page to support a series of memorial initiatives that honour the life, values, and lasting impact of Ms Shanks, whose warmth, kindness, and dedication continue to be deeply felt across our school community. Many pupils, families, and former students have asked how they might contribute, and this page provides a way for everyone, near or far, to take part in remembering her in a meaningful and lasting way.

All funds raised will go directly toward the memorial projects chosen by our pupils and staff, including:

A memorial tree and plaque within the school grounds

A dedicated bench at Belhaven, a place of importance to her and the Science team

A mural in the Science corridor celebrating her influence and inspiring future learners

The Shanks Cup/Award at our annual Awards Evening

Additional remembrance activities, such as the pupil‑led bake sale and the creation of a memory video for her family
