Story

After seeing the terrible scenes at the Denmark's Euro 2020 match. It has made me realise that this can happen to anyone. I am raising funds for a defibrillator unit to be placed in my local football club Caerleon AFC. Defibrillator can save lives. It's a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest, it's an essential part in trying to save the life of someone who’s in cardiac arrest. Without immediate treatment, 90-95% of Sudden Cardiac Arrest casualties will die.

If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, the chance of survival increases from 6-75%.

I will be swimming 15 miles in the month of July with the help of my friend Debbie Cook. If the full amount of donations hasn't been reached, I will continue to do events until the total has been reached.
