Story

Fred Booth, Centre Director of Printworks, passed away peacefully on the 19th January 2020.

Fred's partner, Julie, and family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care shown to him by the Healthcare Professionals and in particular the special attention given by the Doctors and Nurses in Dr Horacio E. Oduber Hospital, Aruba and the Royal Oldham Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

It was a Dialysis machine that sustained Fred's life and it became very apparent at both hospitals that these machines are in very limited supply. In medicine, dialysis is the process of removing excess water, solutes, and toxins from the blood in people whose kidneys can no longer perform these functions naturally. Dialysis is used in patients with rapidly developing loss of kidney function.

In Fred's memory we hope to raise enough money to purchase new Dialysis machines for the hospitals - one of which will be named Fred - which will help sustain many lives in future.

Fred has always supported many charities including The Christie, Disabled Living, Forever Manchester and the Booth Centre to name a few. Please help support this worthwhile cause with any donation you are able to spare.

Please note from JustGiving: It’s free to create a page with JustGiving. You won’t find any hidden set-up fees here… just some standard processing costs of 2.9% + 25p which are applied to each donation. This covers standard card processing charges and helps us to make sure your donations reach you safely.

Also, it can potentially take an hour before your donation appears on the page so please be patient if it doesn't come up. Keep your receipt as acknowledgement.
